Talks, Workshops & More...

Alexa’s delivered talks and workshops on mental health in a wide array of settings to many different groups of people from SADAG counsellors, support group members and leaders, school students, teachers, parents, university students and lecturers, educators from DoE, to those in clinic waiting rooms in Diepsloot, Reiger Park and more.

As she speaks some isiZulu and isiXhosa, she tries her best to adapt to her audience, to ensure they understand the information.

She's also run DBT groups, support groups, de-briefing sessions, mindfulness sessions and psycho-educational workshops.

As an advocate for mental health, she believes it’s important to represent mental health issues accurately, in whatever way possible, to make it as accessible as possible.

Nowadays, this is becoming easier with the ability to spread information widely through platforms such as WhatsApp and Facebook. She’s participated in WhatsApp webinars for Youth Capital and Sunshine Cinema and Facebook Live chats for SADAG.

As a spokesperson for SADAG she’s also been interviewed on TV and radio.
